“Life is growth. If we stop growing, technically and spiritually, we are as good as dead.” ―Morihei Ueshiba
In a world where there are endless possibilities, how far are you willing to grow? As a team of hard working entrepreneurs, we know the ceiling is just the start. This is why at O3Y Consulting, we constantly strive to become better leaders and entrepreneurs. You may be asking yourself, “how do we do it?” It’s a combination of a positive attitude and some incredible pointers. Today, we’ve diving into some of the lifelong lessons we’ve learned along the way.
Let’s talk about time management. If we’ve learned anything, it’s that time is valuable. Once it’s gone, you can never get it back. We believe a smart entrepreneur is one who makes every second count. That is why we are always working on our time management. For example, we make the most of our daily commute by listening to educational podcasts. Try focusing your time on your most important tasks, then delegate the rest to others. Another tip we recommend is making your to-do list the night before. This way you can start your morning off with the hardest task on your list. There are so many great time management tips, but at the end of the day, being conscious and aware of where your time is going key.
First impressions matter, and we have learned the importance of giving a great one. We have spent our fair share of time networking with others, and those connections can lead to valuable resources. Knowing how to speak to and with others is a skill you will use everywhere you go. While we are on the subject, another valuable skill we have learned is public speaking. In order to be a strong leader, you must be able to speak to a group of people. Dig deep to find your confidence so your voice can be heard.
We have found, in order to become a better leader, you must be proficient at being an independent, forward-thinker. If our time at O3Y Consulting has taught us anything, it’s that YOU are your best resource. There will be times where others are looking to you for answers. Instead of relying on what has been done in the past, use your head and find a better solution. Unsure of the right answer? Take charge and find it! Once you become an independent, forward-thinker, you can break the glass ceiling. Move over corporate America, because it is time for a new way of doing business. Never before has entrepreneurship been such a sough-after career path!
